Webhooks
A webhook calls an external URL via HTTP on an event – bound to a data source, not to a single table (though the table selection can optionally be restricted to specific tables; empty means “all tables in this data source”).
Configuration (“Manage webhooks” on the data source’s detail page):
- Target URL
- Events –
record.created,record.updated,record.deleted - Tables – optionally restrictable
- Secret (optional) – if set, every delivery is signed with HMAC-SHA256 (header
X-Webhook-Signature), so the receiver can verify authenticity. - Active/Inactive toggle.
Delivery runs concurrently, with up to three retries on failure (backoff of 1s, 5s, 15s). The status of the last delivery (timestamp, HTTP status, error message if any) is shown.
For automation within IllusionDB (instead of an external HTTP call), see Hooks instead – the same set of events, but a script instead of an external target.
