SQL Terminal

Runs arbitrary SQL directly against a data source – reachable via the data source’s detail page or the corresponding icon on a table page.

A read-only statement (SELECT, WITH, EXPLAIN, SHOW, PRAGMA) runs immediately and shows the result as a table. Any other statement (INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE/DDL like CREATE TABLE) first shows a confirmation with the exact SQL text – it’s actually executed only after explicit confirmation.

The SQL editor on the data source’s detail page is where you’d, for example, create a new table with a real REFERENCES foreign key, if you want to use your database’s native SQL schema feature (see Foreign key (1:n)) – exactly how the table behind this very handbook is set up.

Multiple tabs

Several queries can be kept open at once in their own tabs (like in VS Code) – “New tab” creates another one. A tab with unsaved changes asks for confirmation before closing.

Snippets

Frequently used queries can be saved as a named snippet and reopened in a new tab at any time via the collapsible sidebar. An existing snippet can be overwritten with the current tab’s SQL or deleted (both with a confirmation prompt).
